Fussy and Fancy Challenge #227-"Christmas/Happy New Year"

Good morning dear crafty friends!

Well today is a bittersweet post for me...sniffle 😢...it's our last challenge post for Fussy and Fancy...sniffle...sniffle😢!!!  Fussy and Fancy was my first design team position...I was so excited...and nervous!!...when Sheryl emailed me to ask if I would like to be on her Fussy and Fancy team...thank you Sheryl for giving me the opportunity and showing me the encouragement that I needed to get my "feet wet" on the DT scene!!  My first official post as a "Fussy and Fancy Girl" was on November 1, 2013...where does five years go??!!

It has been my honour and pleasure to work along side some very talented ladies over these five years...Annie, Jo and Norma you were all so very welcoming and encouraging when this very "green girl" first started...others have come and gone through the years and I thank them for the inspiration and the chance to get to know some great people...I have to shout out here to Judy who I've shared a great on-line friendship with...oh and I've been the lucky recipient of some BEAUTIFUL "Inky Pinky Delights" cards through the years...thank you my friend!!...to my fellow remaining FF teamies...Andrea, Darlene, Gina, Julie, Jules, Pat and Tone...thanks for making my job as assistant co-ordinator so very easy and for sharing your talent with me/us...last but certainly not least...thank you to Nikki for taking on the main role when Sheryl was unable and for keeping us going till now...and let's not forget your talent!!!

Okay well...let's get to our challenge!!  We really would LOVE for all our lovely followers and friends to join us in closing Fussy and Fancy out with a bang...the final winners post will be on January 11, 2019!!

Oh and our theme is "Christmas/New Year"!  I made this card for a very special friend...I wanted to go white on white and do a pop-up card...SO LOVE making these!!...well I added some silver to take away some of the "blah" and then when I went to photograph it no matter how I positioned the lights/card I got glare..😖😖!!!

Anyway here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
I put some white card stock through a Spellbinders Christmas embossing folder to make my "DP" then mounted it on silver foil paper...hence the glare!!...
this little darling is "Divine Angel Tilda" from the Christmas Party 2017 collection...
coloured with my copics...
dusted with Chunky White Frantage...
I wanted to make her wings a little more noticeable so I stamped two extra sets with silver embossing powder then cut them out and tucked some white feathers in between the layers...
her dress is accented with White Liquid Pearls...
"greetings of the season" is from Stampingbella stamped with Stazon onto white chiffon ribbon...
my Foamiran poinsettia...
the inside pop-up...
"wishing you" is from a Frantic Stamper word die...
ornament die from my stash...sorry I lost the package so can't tell you the manufacturer...
"Merry Christmas" is a Hero Arts stamp...

And that is my final card as a Fussy and Fancy Girl!!  We'd really love for you to join us for our final challenge!!

using a manilla tag as a base I made the first of my Grandkiddie's tags...

Hello my friends!!

It's been WAY TOO LONG!!!!

I hope that you've all enjoyed your summer...or for some of you...your winter?!...we've had such a hot and humid summer that it's hard for me to believe that some parts of the globe are actually experiencing winter...LOL!!!

Today I'm here to welcome you back to Lovely hAnlgar or Sweet Magnolia...we've had our summer break and now it's time to get crafty again!!  Our challenge for the next month is "Dies and Punches"...super easy right?!  Our SUPER team co-leader Jay has put together a surprise package for one lucky winner!

Well I must confess that I'm feeling VERY rusty!!! It's been busy here with the house and the yard work...not to mention work itself and spending time with the Grand-kiddies...OH...some news...we have another on the way...that will make five fabulous darlings!!!

Okay I must get on to the task at hand...

Here is what I came up with...
please click on the first image for a closer view/slideshow...
my card base was made using GO Kreate die #360020
DP is Maja Design from the "Enjoying the Outdoors" collection...
my image was cut out using a Marvy circle punch which I then matted on a circle that I made using strips of paper punched out with a scalloped border punch scored/folded accordion style...sorry no brand name on the punch...
"Happy Birthday" is a Frantic Stamper die cut...
the butterflies were made using a Joy Craft die...
this little darling is "Puppy Love Tilda" from the Winter Wonderland 2013 collection...
coloured with my copics...
dusted with Shabby White Frantage...
I added a tiny butterfly punched from a mini Marvy butterfly punch to the gift tag...
the Happy Birthday was added atop a stick pin decorated with white chiffon ribbon/beads/butterfly charm...
 the Joy Craft butterflies...

And there you have my first card in over two months...the craft room is still in shambles...the outdoor work has taken precedence the last few months!!

I made a simple easel card...
DP is from my stash and sorry can't remember who it's by...
the butterfly border is from Memory Box...
the bottom flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts...
I made the pale blue flowers that are amongst the butterflies using Foamiran and a Crealies die...
this darling image is "Cutie Patootie Susie" and you can find her HERE...
coloured with my copics...
I had another incident with the Glossy Accents on her eyes...I think maybe I'm adding too much...it was cloudy so I had to scrape it off and reapply...of course it showed the flaws from scraping 😞...
closer view...

And that is my card!  Now won't you come on over and join us at Scrapbook Stamp Society for a chance to win some fabulous images!!!
